Recipes to Guarantee a Memorable Experience

 During the holiday season, the first thing that comes to mind is food.  Thanksgiving for most people usually consists of a large multi-course meal followed by lots of eating, drinking, resting and even shopping.  If you really think about it, a healthy association or non-profit is similar to a multi-course meal in that all aspects of the association should complement one another to help form a well-rounded experience for those involved.  In associations for example, all departments must work together to ensure that efforts support the overall mission of the association.  When it comes to planning a big holiday meal, similar considerations may be made.

Once a Nole, Always a Nole: How to Retain Members

Since I was a kid, I remember being dressed in Florida State University outfits/colors and would even ask for new FSU stuff for holidays and birthdays. Even thouFSU membershipgh I grew up seven hours south of Tallahassee, the Seminoles were always my favorite team.

Fast forward to 2003 and my freshman year at college. I went to every single home game… but it wasn’t always about the football. Yes, I loved the exciting plays and yelling about bad calls. But outside of that, the reasons I went every week, and the reason I have hardly missed a home game in the 11 years I’ve lived in Tallahassee is for 3 reasons (in no priority order). I don’t deal well with change…

Imagine that you’re standing in your favorite store. What do you see around you? What catches your attention? What ultimately convinces you to make a purchase? Is the purchase you make planned or unplanned?  You make your way through a store to find you are surrounded by a variety of items and that can sometimes lead to an overwhelming feeling. I have to admit that there have been times that I have forgotten why I went to a store in the first place because of all the distractions that are present. The good news is that you can be the difference in a consumer’s experience.
